Putting the farm in its setting

At the end of last week Fran, Dougie the Builder, Sascha the dog and I went for an explore around the perimeter of the farm. It took us ages - it's quite a long way and we stopped and looked at lots of things.  We also took lots of photos! It was a stunning morning - beautiful, clear light and amazing clouds and views.

In the distance is the farm cottage itself - and most of what you can see, belongs to the farm. You can also see the ocean from the ridge.

We are having heaps of problems uploading photos onto this blog right now - I am really sorry and will put more on as soon as I can!

Off to take to the boys to the school pantomime!! Tom (9)  is the Big Bad Wolf and Sam is a Giant!!

Love to you all

I'm here! I'm here!

Well finally got here. I know I travelled Business! but it's still a very long way whichever way you dress it up. The crew on the first flight were exceptional, especially Erl. Some of you may know I have a familiar who travels with me-he's a small teddy called Toby. He's lived with us for the last 40 years + and he was old when I first met him at a jumble sale in our old village of Great Houghton in the old institute up Cracknuts Lane ( for locals' info) so he's as old as me I guess. It's nice not to be alone when you're coming this far. Toby got very lucky on the journey he went and saw the pilot and sat at the controls!

Toby in his new career as an Air NZ pilot....

Here I am outside my little summer residence - named Sunny Cottage after a certain small cottage in Burnham Thorpe. It's totally cute - inside and out! Very shabby chic.

Notice the dog and the lamb who thinks he's a dog. Sascha and the lamb is Alfie.

This afternoon we are having a walk over the whole farm. I haven't seen it all yet, so I'm looking forward to it!

Sending you all love from our warm and sunny spot here in Nelson :-)
